Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank, sponsored by, and avid users of Veo, participated in the UCI Women's World Tour this past week with a squad racing the Amgen Tour of California.
The three-day women's race was a big success for the team, with a stage one victory, a fifth overall general classification finish, and three riders finishing in the top 20.
On stage 1, Kendall Ryan (USA) sprinted to victory in Elk Grove, securing the top step of the podium against some of the best sprinters in the world. The second stage was in the mountains of South Lake Tahoe where Brodie Chapman (AUS) climbed herself into 5th place in the overall classification.
The team finished the tour with Brodie Chapman (AUS) in 5th, Alison Jackson (CAN) 13th and Alice Cobb (GBR) 19th.
“Competing in a World Tour race here in California is exciting, even better when we’re able to secure top results in front of home crowds,” said Linda Jackson, Founder of Team TIBCO - Silicon Valley Bank.

Food for thought- just 4 minutes after a week of racing concluded in California, with the men’s and women’s winners coming in at 25-1/2 hours and 8 hours respectively, a horse named Justify won the second leg of the triple crown in just under 2 minutes. Horse racing may be glamorous, but we’ll take a week of cycling excitement any time!
